Chassis

The 2025 XRAY XB8E features an updated chassis layout engineered for optimal weight distribution and improved handling. CNC-machined from high-quality 3mm Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum, the chassis offers a perfect balance of rigidity and flex, enhancing overall stability, traction, and steering response.

Strategically milled to reduce weight without sacrificing durability, the chassis integrates mounting provisions for the updated electronics plate, covered receiver box, and redesigned battery trays. This updated configuration shifts weight rearward for improved balance and traction, while the shorter wheelbase complements the refined suspension geometry for sharper cornering and more responsive performance on all track surfaces.

Drivetrain

The XRAY XB8E 2025 drivetrain is built for maximum efficiency, durability, and performance under the extreme demands of 1/8 scale electric racing. Featuring precision-machined lightweight outdrives, high-strength steel CV-style driveshafts, and race-proven differentials, the drivetrain ensures consistent power delivery and superior reliability.

The center differential layout has been repositioned in the updated chassis configuration for better weight balance and optimized drivetrain angles, reducing drag and improving throttle response. Heavy-duty 46T hardened steel spur gears and 13T clutch bells are matched with precision-cut internal gears to provide smooth operation, minimal wear, and maximum durability during long mains or brutal bashing. Whether launching off jumps or accelerating out of corners, the XB8E’s drivetrain is engineered for absolute confidence and performance.

Suspension

The suspension system on the XRAY XB8E 2025 is meticulously engineered for precision handling, durability, and ultimate tunability on any track surface. It features fully independent suspension arms with updated geometry for improved corner speed and responsiveness, complemented by reinforced molded composite parts that balance strength with flex. The 2025 kit includes redesigned shock towers and refined mounting positions, allowing racers to fine-tune shock angles and ride height for maximum traction and stability.

The ultra-smooth, big-bore aluminum shocks are paired with low-friction X-ring seals and fine-thread shock bodies to deliver consistent damping and superior handling over rough terrain and big jumps. Combined with adjustable sway bars, caster blocks, and camber links, the XB8E suspension provides the tuning range needed to dominate in any racing condition.
